About BAL Level Plus Levelling Compound

BAL Level Plus Grey 20kg is a versatile, rapid-setting, self-smoothing and levelling compound for preparing internal floors before tiling or laying other finishes. Product Details Flexible Application: It can be mixed with clean water for standard installations or with BAL Level Plus Liquid latex for enhanced performance on more challenging substrates, such as bitumen, underfloor heating, or directly over glazed tiles. Rapid Setting: It allows for foot traffic in just 2 hours and tiling in 3 hours at 20°C. High Strength: Exceeds BS EN 13813 CT – C20 – F6/F7 classification depending on whether it is mixed with water or latex respectively. Smooth Finish: Self-smoothing properties create an ultra-flat and even surface, suitable for various floor coverings. Versatile Substrates: Suitable for use over concrete, sand:cement screeds, anhydrite screeds, old tile adhesive residues, cementitious flowing screeds, unglazed tiles, and stone when mixed with water. With the latex additive, it's also suitable for heated screeds, bitumen, asphalt, glazed ceramic tiles, and vinyl tiles (not LVT). Deep Bed Applications: Can be built up to 30mm thick with the addition of aggregate. Pumpable: Can be pumped for faster application over large areas. Coverage: Provides approximately 0.2m²/kg coverage at 3mm thickness. This equates to approximately 4m² per 20kg bag at 3mm thickness. Not Suitable For: Exterior use, areas with total immersion (e.g., swimming pools), or as a finished wearing surface.
